I'm pleased to be able to share some of my level work from Season Eight of Sea of Thieves, released back in November 2022. It was fantastic to be involved in expanding the Reaper's Lair beyond the mysterious trap door in the original hideout.
I was responsible for level art and optimisation on the initial lift and entrance chamber areas, as well as assisting with final dressing on some of the tunnel areas further down. It was a great opportunity for us to raise the bar for environments in SoT and was a huge team effort, with many of the assets in the level created by past team members or partner studios.
The blockout was created by James Crosbie with our Lead Andrew Finch doing the lighting work across the lair.
